Meet Madden
Kickin Ass Hats began when Madden was only 14 years old and started shaping hats out of his parent's kitchen using a tea kettle. After a few months, he had saved up to purchase an actual hat steamer and began to take his skills on the road and began shaping hats for fellow competitors at all his rodeos. Since a young age, Madden has always been very entrepreneurial minded and was always looking for ways to earn some extra cash. Madden is also a bareback rider in California High School Rodeo and California Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association, so hat shaping and rodeo style has been a natural fit.
OUR STORY
It all started because of an ass...
Where did the name come from you may ask???... Well, it all started because of an ass. Rabbit, the donkey that is. Madden was never quite fond of Horses, but when he was 13, his parents brought home Rabbit, and Madden set his mind to saddle breaking him. From that day forward, Madden's passion for horses, rodeo and especially Rabbit grew and the idea of Kickin Ass Hats was founded.
